Episode 4x04: Shadow Warrior

1) Meeting Jar Jar: The beginning of the episode has several subtle, but nice, P/A bits. They exchange small smiles over Jar Jar's quirks. Anakin helps Padmé onto Jar Jar's waiting craft, and his hand lingers at her back during their conversation.

2)Side by Side: When A/P try to protect the Gungan leader Boss Lyonie from the traitor Minister Rich Lu, we get a great moment of them fighting side by side. When Anakin charges off to catch the Minister, leaving Padmé behind to protect Lyonie, she calls out "Ani!"

3) Bargaining Chip: Anakin is captured by Dooku. Sidious, aware of how important A/P are to each other, has advised Dooku that Anakin's life would be important enough to Senator Amidala to return the captured General Grievous. Padmé tries to negotiate with Dooku, clearly distressed over Anakin's capture. Initially, Padmé refuses to agree to the prisoner exchange. But the decision is clearly an agonizing one, and when Jar Jar asks her to reconsider, she does so with little protest.

3) Released: Grievous's release is exchanged for Anakin's. An unconscious Anakin is tossed to Padmé's feet. She crouches over him, glaring hatefully at the departing Grievous. She cradles Anakin's head in her lap, holding his face in her hand. He apologizes for getting captured; she soothingly tells him it's all right. She helps him to his feet, gazing tenderly at him. The final shot of the episode is the two of them gazing at each other, her hand on his chest, his arm still around her shoulders.
