Season 2, Episode 19: The Zillo Beast Strikes Back

[Anakin arrives in the Senate atrium, where Padmé and Obi-Wan are already waiting.]
Anakin: "Not that it isn't - a pleasure, Senator, but I thought I was just meeting Obi-Wan here."
Padmé: "Master Kenobi explained the problem. I'm here to help."
Anakin: "Problem... what problem?"
Obi-Wan: "The... situation with our friend from Malastare."
Anakin: "Uh huh... I see what's going on here. You think I could help influence the Chancellor."
Padmé: "The Zillo beast was brought here and chained up against its will. It has no voice to defend itself. Anakin, we have to be that voice."
Anakin: [exhales frustratedly] "You haven't seen it in action. You have no idea what it's capable of."
Padmé: "It's what we're capable of that frightens me. A creature's life - maybe even an entire species - is at stake. Doesn't that at least warrant a discussion?"
Anakin: [sighs] "I didn't think you'd feel so strongly about it. All right. Let's speak to the Chancellor - but I still don't like this."
[Anakin and Padmé are in Palpatine's office.]
Palpatine: "I should have known that secrets do not stay secret for long around here."
Padmé: "Isn't that precisely the point of a democracy?"
Anakin: [placating] "Of course, in war time, some things must be kept secret, even from the people, so as not to aid the enemy."
[Padmé looks angrily at him.]
[later, same discussion]
Palpatine: "Anakin, is it not worth the life of one savage beast to give our troops the advantage they need to win this war?"
Anakin: [clears his throat nervously and looks at Padmé, adopting a neutral pose] "My role is not to set policy, Chancellor, but I do see both points of view. I'm certain a reasonable solution will present itself."
Palpatine: "Master Kenobi has taught you well." [is called away]
Padmé: [to Anakin, angry whisper] "You are supposed to be helping! Whose side are you on, anyway?"
Anakin: "Yours! But... you must admit the Chancellor makes some good points."
[Padmé stares incredulously at him]
[In the ship held captive by the Zillo beast, Anakin suddenly jumps up]
Anakin: "I've got an idea... but it's risky."
Padmé: "Given the circumstances, I'll take the risk!"
[Anakin and Padmé are in an uncontrolled slide down the side of the Senate building. As Padmé nears the edge, she reaches desperately to him.]
Padmé: "Ani!"
[using the Force, he manages to slow her descent; he grasps her hand and pulls her back to safety]
