Obi-Wan: "...Tatooine. What in the blazes is he doing there? I told him to stay on Naboo! I do hope nothing's happened to him."

Yoda: "Young Skywalker is in pain... terrible pain..."

Anakin: "Life seems so much simpler when you're fixing things. I'm good at fixing things. Always was... but I couldn't... [looks at Padme] Why'd she have to die? Why couldn't I save her? I know I could have!
Padme: "Sometimes there are things no one can fix. You're not all powerful, Ani."
Anakin: "Well, I should be. Someday... I will be the most powerful Jedi ever. I promise you... I will even learn to stop people from dying!"

Anakin: "I... I killed them. I killed them all. They're dead - every single one of them. Not just the men... but the women, and the children too! They're animals, and I slaughtered them like animals... I hate them!"

Anakin: "I'm a Jedi. I know I'm better than this."

Anakin: "I wasn't strong enough to save you, Mom. I wasn't strong enough... but I promise, I won't fail again. I miss you... so much..."

Dooku: "Brave of you, boy... I'd thought you'd have learned your lesson."

Obi-Wan: We'll take him together this time.

Anakin: My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Count.

Episode IV: A New Hope

Owen: "Idon't think [Obi-Wan] exists anymore. He died about the same time as your father."
Luke: "He knew my father?"
Owen: "I told you to forget it."

Beru: "Luke's just not a farmer, Owen... he has too much of his father in him."
Owen: "That's what I'm afraid of."

Luke: "No, my father didn't fight in the wars, he was a navigator on a spice freighter."
Obi-Wan: "That's what your uncle told you. He didn't hold with your father's ideals. He thought he should have stayed here and not gotten involved."
Luke: "You fought in the Clone Wars?"
Obi-Wan: "Yes. I was once a Jedi Knight the same as your father."

Luke: "How did my father die?"
Obi-Wan: "A young Jedi named Darth Vader... who was a pupil of mine until he turned to evil, helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights. He betrayed and murdered your father."

Vader: "Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."

Vader: "I find your lack of faith disturbing."

Vader: "I sense something... a presence I have not felt since..."

Vader: "Obi-Wan is here. The Force is with him."
Tarkin: "If he is here, he must not be allowed to escape."
Vader: "Escape is not his plan. I must face him, alone."

Vader: "I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner - now I am the master."

Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back

Vader: "What is thy bidding, my master?"
Palpatine: "There is a great disturbance in the Force."

Palpatine: "We have a new enemy. The young rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker."
Vader: "How is that possible?"
Palpatine: "Search your feelings, Lord Vader. You know it to be true. He could destroy us."
Vader: "He's just a boy. Obi-Wan can no longer help him."
Palpatine: "The Force is strong with him. The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi."

Yoda: "Why must you become Jedi?"
Luke: "Mostly because of my father, I guess."

Yoda [about Luke]: "Much anger in him. Like his father."

Vader [chokes Needa]: "Apology accepted, Captain Needa."

Vader: "The Force is with you, young Skywalker... but you are not a Jedi yet."

Vader: "Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father."
Luke: "He told me enough! He told me you killed him."

Luke: "No... that's not true... that's impossible..."

Vader [telepathically]: "Luke..."

Episode VI: Return of the Jedi

Vader: "The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am."

Luke: "Master Yoda... is Darth Vader my father?"
Yoda: "Rest I need... yes, rest..."
Luke: "Yoda, I must know."
Yoda: "Your father is."

Yoda: "Luke... do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor... or suffer your father's fate, you will."

Luke: "Why didn't you tell me? You told me Vader betrayed and murdered my father."
Obi-Wan: "Your father was seduced by the Dark Side of the Force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed."

Obi-Wan: "Anakin was a good friend. When I first knew him, your father was already a great pilot - but I was amazed how strongly the Force was with him. I took it upon myself to train him as a Jedi. I thought that I could instruct him just as well as Yoda... I was wrong."
Luke: "There is still good in him."
Obi-Wan: "He's more machine now than man... twisted and evil."

Vader: "A small Rebel force has penetrated the shield and landed on Endor."
Palpatine: "Yes, I know."
Vader: "My son is with them."
Palpatine: "Are you sure?"
Vader: "I have... felt him, my Master."
Palpatine: "Strange that I have not. I wonder if your feelings on this matter are clear, Lord Vader."

Luke: "I know there is good in him, I've felt it. He won't turn me over to the Emperor, I can save him, I can turn him back - to the good side. I have to try."

Vader: "The Emperor has been expecting you."
Luke: "I know... Father."
Vader: "So, you have accepted the truth."
Luke: "I've accepted the truth that you were once Anakin Skywalker, my father."
Vader: "That name no longer has any meaning for me."
Luke: "It is the name of your true self, you've only forgotten. I know there is good in you... the Emperor hasn't driven it from you fully. That was why you couldn't destroy me. That's why you won't bring me to your Emperor now."

Vader: "Indeed you are powerful, as the Emperor has foreseen."
Luke: "Come with me."
Vader: "Obi-Wan once thought as you do. You don't know the power of the Dark Side - I must obey my master."
Luke: "I will not turn - then you'll be forced to kill me."
Vader: "If that is your destiny."
Luke: "Search your feelings, father, you can't do this - I feel the conflict within you, let go of your hate!"
Vader: "It is too late for me, son. The Emperor will show you the true nature of the Force - he is your master now."
Luke: "Then my father is truly dead."

Vader: "It is pointless to resist, my son."

Palpatine: "It is unavoidable. It is your destiny. You, like your father, are now mine."

Vader: "Give yourself to the Dark Side... it is the only way you can save your friends. Yes, your thoughts betray you, your feelings for them are strong. Especially for... sister! So, you have a twin sister! Your feelings have now betrayed her too. Obi-Wan was wise to hide her from me - now his failure is complete. If you will not turn to the Dark Side, then perhaps she will."

Anakin: "Luke... help me take this mask off."
Luke: "But you'll die!"
Anakin: "Nothing can stop that now. Just for once... let me look on you with my own eyes."

Anakin: "Now, go, my son... leave me..."
Luke: "No, you're coming with me. I'll not leave you here, I've got to save you!"
Anakin: "You already have, Luke. You were right... you were right about me. Tell your sister... you were right..."
